A question that can only be answered in few words……from five days to five months and I have seen some take over one year….imagine, one year. It’s all about the “sale”…..foreclosure sale can take just a few days if one is lucky…short sale can take six weeks to one year (but, the benefit of the wait is always rewarding…so, just wait if you are in a short sale process)….a conventional/traditional sale can take ten days to ninety days…it all depends on the lender and the lender can either be on the buyer or seller side.
Buying a house is a process….you must remember, a process that will afford you the most expensive purchase many of us will make in our lifetime. Please, be patient and be forthcoming we all pertinent information well before you find that “perfect house”…having all your finances in order will affect the closing time and allow a pleasant real estate transaction for all parties concerned.
How long does it take to buy a house? How many stitches does it take to sew a hem? Hmmmmmmm. Who knows but it is done everyday!
If you would like more information, please call me at 772 708 8007 here at Preferred Realty Executives and I would be so pleased to assist you.
Regards,
Aline
